PRIVATE DESIGN STUDIO

At its core, Private Design Studio is a study of the self. We approach design as a discipline of intention, removing noise until what remains is useful and true. The work is not concerned with decoration or first impressions. We're interested in what lies beneath the surface. In what is human and real.

We strive to only make what we feel. We wrestle with the friction between the allure of perfection and the reality of being human. We embrace imperfection because what we ultimately care about is who we are becoming and our relationship with the sacred. Decisions are made slowly. There is care in everything we do.

We feel the gravity of an uncertain new world. We have a deeply personal interest in making the world a more hospitable place. What feels simple is often the result of countless hours. What feels inevitable is the result of a thousand tiny ah-ha moments.

PRACTICE

Private Design Studio works closely with artists, entrepreneurs, and evolving brands to clarify the ideas at the center of their work.

We may enter at the beginning of a project, at a moment of change, or when existing work needs to be reconsidered or reintroduced.

Through conversation, study, and creative exchange, we help define what a project is, why it matters, how it should feel, and what it should become.

Our role is not always to make the final object. Sometimes we establish a clear direction for others to carry forward. Sometimes we stay close over time, helping the work remain clear and true as it enters the world.
